Resistance is making its way onto the PS Vita with Resistance: Burning Skies. The story is set before Resistance 2 and gives you control over a brand new protagonist. Tom Riley is a New York City firefighter and your objective is to save New York City from the Chimeran threat. Burning Skies will be a first person shooter unlike the previous portable title Resistance:Retribution.
Resistance: Burning Skies will definitely be making use of the Vita’s functions allowing touch screen capabilities like alternate functions for guns on the touch screen. The game will also feature an on-screen icon you can tap to use Tom’s fire axe at any time so you always have a way to defend yourself. Also, it will have the same feel as the console titles did since it will have dual analogs; it’ll be just like having that PS3 experience in the palm of your hand. This new title will definitely be great proof of the Vita’s graphical capabilities as well as some of its more finer functions like the front and rear touchscreen. There isn’t a known release date just yet, but there is a chance it will be released close to the Vita’s launch.
