Were you always sad you could never get two or three of the Resident Evil movies on 4K Blu-ray? Or are you a stickler for box sets where everything matches together visually? Did you never buy one of the other 5 box sets they’ve released for the series? Or maybe you just buy anything that says Resident Evil on it?
Well, there’s good news for you. Sony Pictures has now confirmed the release of the Resident Evil Six Film Collection, a 4K UHD Blu-Ray box set featuring all six of the live-action movies on their own discs, with standard Blu-Ray copies of each film also included.
The fidelity upgrades of the films include the fairly obvious inclusion of HDR and Dolby Atmos capability, as well as native 4K resolution, and there will also be downloadable digital 4K versions of the films included.
The set will feature the standard and extended cuts of arguably the best film in the series, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, both in 4K quality. As an added bonus, they’ve also thrown in some special features previously unavailable on any disc, adding a little more value for those who just can’t get enough of the behind-the-scenes goodies.
The Resident Evil Six Film Collection will be available on November 3rd, and is already available for pre-order through most major retailers, with an MSRP of $79.99 USD. Head over to your favorite retailer to pre-order your copy today.
