Do you remember when Capcom announced a super special edition of Resident Evil 6? The premium edition that would include a limited edition replica of Leon’s in-game jacket and some iPhone cases? It sold for over a grand? Well, now you do.
Capcom, apparently pleased with how well that went and the idea of releasing really expensive gaming memorabilia, has announced another premium set for people who have some throwing around money. Capcom is set to release a premium set for the console version of Resident Evil Revelations.
The premium set includes a copy of Resident Evil Revelations, an arranged soundtrack CD, a BSAA card case and a BSAA wristwatch made by US Agency. US Agency is in the business of making extremely rugged wrist watches for military and law enforcement agencies. The watch is designed to be a high-quality replica of the watch Jill is wearing in the game.
The price for the full premium set? $443USD. If watches aren’t your thing (or $443 isn’t your thing) you can settle for the BSAA case and the soundtrack CD with the game for $83USD. In all fairness, it’s not quite as out of reach as the $1400 edition of Resident Evil 6, but…that’s still kind of steep.
There’s a disclaimer on US Agency Watches‘ website that states that it’s an offense to use one of these watches to impersonate someone from a law enforcement or military agency. Because when you sell watches that say CIA on them, you apparently have to remind people not to impersonate police officers and military men.
The game goes on sale in North America May 21 and May 23 in Japan.
