The fate of Resident Evil Portable is “to be determined”

Two years ago it was announced that Capcom would be bringing the Resident Evil franchise to Sony’s PSP. Since then, the whereabouts of Resident Evil Portable has been as mysterious as Sherry’s. In a recent interview between IGN and Capcom’s Christian Svensson the topic of said game was brought up. Svensson stated the following in regards to the project:

Oh, Resident Evil Portable. That is definitely to be determined.

Yeah, it’s still not clear exactly what has happened to the game but something tells me we haven’t seen the last of it. I recently speculated that the title is now being set to hit the NGP. Could that turn out to be the case? We can expect some sort of announcement, hopefully, at E3 next week. It’ll be nice to finally have some closure regarding the game, if it, in fact, has been canned.
