I thought attendees at San Diego Comic-Con this week were going to be treated to the same trio of demos that were on-hand at E3 last month. I was very, very wrong.
Capcom brought along three new demos with them to the show floor, giving attendees an updated look at each of the three main scenarios. And now you can see off-screen gameplay footage from each, courtesy of IGN.
Chris’s demo takes place in Europe in what’s most likely the flashback segment of his scenario, where he and his team are first introduced to the J’avo. There’s a lot of action going on here, but it all looks so much fun and I’m now even more excited to play this scenario. I mean, come on, it’s Chris! And I’m sure the story here is going to be great, with some epic set-piece moments throughout. There’s always Leon’s scenario for us old-school fans, which we’ll get to in a bit.
Jake’s scenario also got a new demo and it takes players to China. What’s neat here is that we get to see a new mutation of the J’avo. Again, it’s very action-packed, but I’m very excited for it. And like I always say, I’m really digging the J’avo mutations, especially the new dinosaur-like ones. Sherry <3
Last but not least we have Leon’s demo. This is a direct continuation of the E3 demo where we left off in Ivy University’s parking lot. In this demo players get to explore the rest of the campus in what’s definitely going to be a very traditional and old-school RE experience. We have eerie halls and classrooms splattered with blood and many zombies lurking around. There’s also a dose of action here, too, as we see when Leon gets into a police car that brings about QTEs. But the university looks like one very atmospheric locale and I can’t wait to traverse it. Oh, and there’s also key-card hunting!!!
