Fans have gone to work breaking down everything we’ve seen of Resident Evil 7 since its big reveal at Sony’s E3 press conference. From awesome theories to countless attempts trying to figure out what to do with a finger, Resident Evil discussion has been very active. Now we have some more fuel to add to the speculative fire.
A user on Reddit has made quite a discovery. Pictured above we see a loading screen from the demo. Nothing but white text on a black screen, right (and a rainbow at the bottom)? Wrong. Looking at the numbers on the screen reveals something pretty damn awesome.
90009 is included in the white-boxed string of numbers, which also happens to be the product ID for Resident Evil: Director’s Cut–the version of the game that came packed with a Resident Evil 2 demo. So there’s a possibility that we might get a demo for Resident Evil 2 Remake attached to the release of Resident Evil 7 on January 24, 2017. Also, don’t forget about “Sewer Gators” from the Resident Evil 7 demo–another nice nod to Resident Evil 2.
