Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D Japanese Release Date & New Characters

Thanks to some scans provided by cvxfreak, we get to see some new stuff out of the upcoming 3DS title, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. Firstly, the game has a June 4th release date in Japan. The American release date promises to be fairly close. Midnight Wesker and BSAA Jill are also confirmed playable characters (and it surprised no one). Seen also in the scans is the character and stage select menu, which has a cool digital look to it. Interestingly, there seems to be sub-levels, as we see Public Assembly labelled as stage 1-1 and The Village from RE4 labelled as 4-1. For how the sub-levels are played out is uncertain, but it might be related to the mission mode we’ve heard about a few times. This could entail it to be different levels, the same level with a change of enemies you fight in the stage or even a change in missions to complete in the stage (it has been said some missions don’t involve killing enemies). Finally, we also officially see The Prison from RE5 as a playable stage. We’ll bring you more information as it comes, check out the scans below.
