Resident Evil Revelations could possibly get a demo on Nintendo’s eShop

Resident Evil Revelations is going to be a big game, especially when considering the space allowed by a regular Nintendo 3DS cartridge. How big, you may ask? How does 4GB sound? And that actually may be a reason why putting a demo out on Nintendo’s eShop may prove to be a bit tricky for Capcom, as the publisher’s own Christian Svensson states in response to a forum user asking if we would ever see the game’s E3 or TGS demo builds on the service:

“We’re in talks with Nintendo about that and I agree, I think that would help sales a lot. For that to happen we need to get permission to use a larger filesize than demos currently are allowed.”

I would definitely love to see a demo up on the eShop and I think it would be a logical next step after the (short) demo already included with The Mercenaries 3D. But, then again, the size limitations are also something to consider, but I’m sure we’ll end up getting a demo eventually. Nintendo really has to allow for it, not just for Revelations, but for all other publishers putting out big games on the handheld, because you know…Nintendo isn’t doing so hot, what with record losses reported.

What do you think? If a demo were to come out, which build would you like to see? Chris and Jessica’s snowy demo or another demo with Jill? Sound off in the comments below!
