Resident Evil Revelations confirmed for PS3, Wii U, PC, and Xbox 360

Today is a good day. After the initial rumors and the achievement/trophy list being leaked, Capcom has finally made it official. Resident Evil Revelations is coming to home consoles.

This HD edition will be launching in North America on May 21st for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, and Xbox 360. Its European launch will be on May 24. There will also be a digital version of the game released for the PlayStation 3 and PC on the same day as the North American retail version, it will be priced at $49.99. The Xbox 360 and Wii U will also be getting digital versions, though the release date wasn’t revealed yet.

Capcom is bringing Revelations to home consoles “with high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects and an immersive sound experience.” That’s not all, though, there will also be new content!

We’ll be getting a brand new enemy type along with a new difficulty mode. You can see said enemy in one of the images below. Looks pretty damn awesome! Raid mode will also get new additions in the form of HUNK as well as new weapons and skill sets. Yes, we’ll be able to play the addictive mode as Mr. Death himself!

Lastly, Revelations HD will also take full advantage of Resident Evil.Net, the free service for fans that launched with Resident Evil 6. Capcom promises new content for the game on the service right on launch-day. And if you haven’t already, you can pre-register to the service starting on January 24 to get early access to some Revelations-themed content.

This right here, my friends, is what makes a day get off to a very, very good start. Be sure to check out the screenshots, art, and trailer below!
