Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City might get pushed back to 2012

Slant Six’s upcoming Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City was announced for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC with a Winter release tagged to it. This gave fans hope that they can expect the team-based shooter to hit sometime late this year. Now, in a recent interview IGN held with the game’s producer Masachika Kawata, it has been suggested that while the producer “hoped” the game would be ready for a late 2011 release, it could end up hitting in 2012.

This shouldn’t really come as a surprise due to the game still being in early stages of development, and Mercenaries 3D and Resident Evil 4/Code Veronica X HD should do enough to hold fans over till 2012 comes and brings with it Resident Evil: Revelations, and now potentially, Operation Raccoon City. You can watch the aforementioned video interview below.
