2012 is set to be one hell of a year for Resident Evil fans. We got Resident Evil Revelations hitting North America in just a few weeks, Operation Raccoon City in March, and Resident Evil 6 on November 20. So, where does that leave one other project that was announced some time ago, with 2012 estimated as the year it’ll see release? Of course I’m referring to the upcoming CGI film Damnation. And it looks like we won’t have to wait that long to find out what its current status is.
Biohaze recently reached out to Sony Pictures Entertainment of Japan regarding the film and if it’s on track. Sony was able to confirm that production of the film “is going smoothly.” They also promise that new information will be released in the near future, so we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for that.
Will the film serve as a sort of prequel to Resident Evil 6? Will we even see it in 2012? Sound off in the comments below!
