Resident Evil 6’s first free title update is now live on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This brings some new features to the game. You can now adjust the camera with three separate settings you can alter to suit your tastes. Ada’s campaign will also be available from the get-go, including a brand new partner for her, the Agent. You’ll also be able to tackle the game in its hardest difficulty setting titled No Hope. But that’s not all the Resident Evil news for today…
PC gamers rejoice! The release date for the PC version of Resident Evil 6 has just been revealed. The game will be hitting North America as a digital download through Steam on March 22, 2013. It will hit Europe on the same day, but it’ll also be available as a retail disc. And going back to digital downloads, Resident Evil 6 will be available on Xbox 360’s Games on Demand service later this holiday season.
All the content found in the console versions will be present in the PC version, including the additions and enhancements from the current and upcoming free title updates. Being on Steam, the game will make good use of the service’s features by supporting the following:
· Cloud saving
· Steam Achievements
· Friends support
· Game overlay
· Leader boards

Capcom has also announced that there’s a second free title update coming on January 22, 2013. The contents of this update are as follows:
Agent Hunt Mode
· Available without having to complete a campaign
· Selectable criteria for joining a session
o Stage selection
o Region selection
o Players can determine whether to join a session based on campaign player’s settings such as infinite ammo or friendly fire setting
Stage selection
· Individual stages within chapters can be accessed at any time once completed
General
· QTE assist
o QTE assist is currently part of the Amateur difficulty level, and automatically completes QTEs for the player. With this update, players can optionally activate QTE assist on any difficulty level.
· Adjustments
o Some sections of the game have had their difficulty adjusted to provide an improved experience
