Well he just recently put up an article in which he lists his personal list of the “Scariest Moments in Gaming”. Among them are, of course, events from Dead Space and Resident Evil. Dead Space is a game that can really build up tension and is full of little scares. The game keeps on trying different ways to scare you and rarely uses the same trick twice. It’s a really enjoyable game but kind of stressful.
There’s a part where you go to upgrade your weapons and because nothing usually happens afterwards you never see one of the scares coming. As soon as you’re finished a monster attacks you from behind, I sure hated that moment.
Another scary moment in dead space that I know scares a lot of people is that big tentacle thing that bursts out of a vent and grabs you. Sometimes I even know that’s coming next and it still makes me jump.
