Resident Evil Revelations 2 was officially revealed with quite an awesome concept trailer, filled with many great hidden goodies for fans to spot. One thing that certainly got fans excited was the inclusion of zombies in the trailer. Combined with the return of Claire, this was a match made in heaven.
Fast forward a bit and we got actual footage from the game. The enemies, known as The Afflicted, aren’t zombies, or infected at all. Instead, we were introduced to some really grotesque looking, crazed enemies that roam the corridors of the prison Claire and Moira find themselves in. So, where are the actual zombies?
With today’s official Barry reveal, we may have found our answer. As pictured above and below, it looks like Revelations 2 will have zombies after all. The rotting enemy shown in the image is definitely a beautiful sight to see. The Afflicted are intimidating enemies and all, but there’s nothing like classic zombies. Oh, and we also got to see another new enemy type, which you can also see below. Isn’t it so beautiful?!
Update: These baddies now have names! The zombie-like foes are known as The Rotten while the other beautiful creature is known as The Revenant.
