JBoc924Out of all the upcoming Resident Evil titles, HD ports included, Slant Six’s Operation Raccoon City looks to be the most drastic in terms of style and gameplay. Sure we’ve already gotten used to over-the-shoulder action-packed moments in the franchise thanks to Resident Evil 4 and 5, but now we’re getting an even more action-packed squad-based shooter. Don’t let that rub you the wrong way, though, and I can assure you that — after my time with the game at E3– ORC is shaping up to be one hell of a wild, zombie-infested ride.
We still don’t have a concrete release date for the game but we’re told to expect it sometime this winter, or “when the snow starts hitting the ground” as one Capcom rep informed me. To help whet your appetite until then, here’s an off-screen, six-minute, look at one of the game’s early levels in action from the perspective of Bertha. This footage may not be entirely new to you but hey, it’s something.
