Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, the action-based tactical team shooter spin-off to the Resident Evil series, is set to release in less than two months now on March 20th, 2012 in America, and a couple days later on the 22nd in Europe. While we’re certain reaction to this type of spin-off existing will get mixed reaction from fans, we’re cautiously keeping our eye on it.
Here we have the first 10 minutes of the game thanks to GamesReactorTV, a sort of tutorial stage that takes place in William Birkin’s underground lab as our anti-heroes break in to steal his G-Virus sample and work with HUNK to obtain it. This is footage from the first stage, so there will be some opening spoilers, such as cinematics and such. Seems some embargo lifted this morning as this is joined by other snippets of footage over at IGN. At this point the zombie outbreak hasn’t happened yet, and the second stage that follows right after this wouldn’t have any soldiers to shoot at and instead have a focus on zombies and Lickers.
