The recent December edition of the weekly Famitsu publication has shared some new details about Resident Evil Revelations 2 relating to Barry Burton and his role in the game.
As opposed to Claire’s scenario, Barry’s side of the episodic storyline will seem to be a little more action-oriented. Nothing along the lines of bombastic action, mind you, but Barry arrives on the island packing some heat in the form of the Samurai Edge, a machine gun, and his trusty magnum. This is to be expected since he’s a BSAA operative and hasn’t been kidnapped like Claire has.
It’s also mentioned how Moira was previously living with both Barry and her mother, so we’re definitely going to learn a lot about that family. No mention of the sister, though. Hmm…
The game’s producers also share some new information on Natalia – the little girl seen in the Barry reveal trailer. She has a special power that lets her detect the presence of enemies, allowing her to even see them through walls in a way that I imagine will be like Joel’s hearing ability from The Last of Us. Instead of Moira beaming her flashlight in the direction of a hidden item, Natalie will simply just point a finger. Her teddy bear has also been given a name: Lotti. For the last bit of information on Natalia, it was revealed that she’s around the same age as Sherry was in Resident Evil 2.
