Confirmed: Ada gets a purely single-player scenario in Resident Evil 6

It’s official: Ada will be getting her own scenario in Resident Evil 6. She won’t be partnered up with anyone, though, because Ms. Wong is nice like that. Oh, and don’t worry, there won’t be any pictures here with my face on Ada’s body, because that’s frowned upon for some reason!

Famitsu just confirmed the news, and they also got some information on the scenario from the game’s executive producer and director, Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Eiichiro Sasaki, respectively. The campaign will be unlocked once all the other three main ones are completed.  And as aforementioned, it’ll be a purely single-player experience (just like I predicted!). What’s cool is that other people playing as Leon or any of the other main characters online can actually run into you playing as Ada online.

As far as story goes, Ada’s scenario will uncover many mysteries surrounding the other three scenarios. So, again, like was the case in Separate Ways, Ada’s scenario will expose us to a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff that was going on during the main plot. Another neat thing that was revealed is that players will be able to change the functionality of Ada’s bow-gun, with the ability to launch projectile bombs being one example.

Famitsu then revealed a bit more about the game’s Agent Hunt mode, where players will take on the role of the game’s creatures as they chase the human characters around looking to kill them. What’s neat here is that this applies itself to the actual single player game. So you can be playing Jake’s campaign, for example, and one of the enemies you’re facing, the Ustanak perhaps, can be controlled by an actual human online, with other surrounding foes like the J’avo also being human-controlled (those playing as the creatures can communicate with one another via voice-chat, too). This mode will be unlocked once you beat the game once, and you can opt to turn it off if you’d rather not have an even harder time taking on the enemies.

Sounds good. Sounds very damn good.
