“Evil goes global.” That truly describes the scope of this film, and how it’s set to take the action to a…global scale. This is, of course, worrying for Resident Evil fans yearning for a true horror film adaptation. And that right there is something that may not happen for quite a while, since Paul W.S. Anderson’s films are really good at bringing in money for Sony. So we can all rest assured there will be another sequel down the line.
Personally, I’m actually a fan of the films (gasp!). I enjoy them for what they are: fun, action-packed, popcorn flicks inspired by a universe I truly adore. Retribution is also set to bring in more of my favorite characters to the big screen (Ada, Barry, and Leon) so yes, I’m really excited. Go ahead, judge me.
