It’s been quite an awesome day for Resident Evil fans today. We got new images from both Revelations and Operation Raccoon City, as well as new trailers for both. Now let’s focus solely on Operation Raccoon City and the options you’re going to have when contemplating where to pre-order it from. We also get to see the contents of the announced special edition (whose price isn’t all that higher than the standard version).
First, here are the covers for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions:
Despite not showing every member of the USS Delta squad, this cover is truly awesome. The T- 103 Tyrant is also prominently featured here, right in the center of the action, which is another nice touch. And hey! We also get a zombie showing off his attractive face as well. The cover for the PC version wasn’t released, but it shouldn’t be different from the ones above.
Now, let’s go on to the game’s different pre-order bonuses which vary depending on which of the three participating retailers (Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop) you opt to order the game from.
As you can see, the alternate attires for each of the six main characters are nothing more than minor color alterations. The real main incentives here are the different weapons exclusive to each retailers– you know, if you’re into that sort of thing (I’m personally not and am quite fine with the weapons that are already going to be available in the game).
Lastly, we have the ultra-sexy special edition version of the game, which will thankfully only cost $69.99. If you decide to pay $10 more than the standard price, then you’ll be getting a reasonable wealth of extra goodies, both in-game and tangible ones, as you can see pictured below.
I don’t know about you, but I’m going to need more arms in order to proudly wear all the Resident Evil patches I have in my collection, including these two. Well, I can always just leave them out for display. And how nice-looking is that steelbook? Once again, I love how the T- 103 Tyrant is featured prominently, as well as my favorite member of the Delta squad, Vector.
So, where will you be pre-ordering the game from? Will you shell out ten extra bucks for the special edition? Sound off in the comments below.
