The August issue of Game Informer is all about the hottest games coming out of this year’s E3. One of those games is, of course, Resident Evil 6. The upcoming title got its own cover, too (along with five other games). So you can expect some exclusive material to come out of this issue, like these new screens.
In the first image, taken from one of the Mercenaries mode stages, we see Chris beating a mofo with…another mofo! Looks like we’ll be able to actually grab and throw enemies at other enemies. Pretty neat! And it’s a natural evolution from being able to punch giant boulders for Mr. Redfield. I’m really digging the look of these zombies, though. Naked!
Now we have a shot from Leon’s scenario, where he’s in the forest area from Tall Oaks perhaps. It looks like there was a party going on here. Way to crash it, Leon!
What the…Here we see a pretty awesome, but gruesome, mutation from one of the J’avo. Chris is used to this type of stuff, of course. And like I’ve been stressing many times before, I’m really digging the J’avo and their crazy mutations. They do make every encounter with them feel intense.
Piers! Here we see a giant BOW about to snack on poor Piers, while Sherry is aiding a downed Chris and Jake looking all bad-ass shooting at the towering monstrosity. This looks like it’s going to be quite a boss battle, and we’ve already seen glimpses of it during the trailers. It’s also worth noting how this is one of those crossover moments which allows for four-player co-op.
More of the crossover boss battle with that giant BOW. I can’t wait to take part in this boss battle, it’s looking quite epic! Sherry’s all grown up now :’).
Rise! Looks like the C-Virus can also bring the dead back to life, as we see here in a graveyard area that’s most likely near the cathedral Helena wants to confess her sins in. Naked zombies! Oh, and dual wielding! $1,300 jacket!
Now it’s back to Mercenaries. Here we see Jake going all Wesker on some J’avo in a subway stage. Gotta get a higher combo! I’m sure Dante can help you with that, Jake…
Lastly, we have another shot of Jake in Mercenaries mode, this time from the ship stage. These mofos are using guns! Guess Jake can’t go up close and personal with punches and kicks…Yes, Jake knows how to use a gun. Look at that J’avo jumping at the top, he looks so happy.
