A new Resident Evil game has been announced for cell phone called “Biohazard: Survival Door”. This is a pure game of chance where you must trust your instinct in a mansion and choose a door to go through by pressing 1, 2, or 3 on your cellphone pad and going through the door and either getting through to the next room or have to face an enemy. In enemy encounters you must timely press the right numbered key when it prompts you too to shoot the enemy before it can attack you, like a game of Quick Draw.
Capcom says the game will test players intuition in worldwide leaderboards where you test your luck against others. As typical of Japanese mobile phone games, it will have a monthly fee set at 315 yen ($3.50) per month.
This is obviously a new and exciting direction for the Resident Evil series that all Americans will vigorously ask Capcom to port over to the US. The new direction of Resident Evil is randomized doors, of course! Still the sprites look neat enough, so heads up if this perks anyone’s interest in Japan.
