JBoc924If there’s one beloved member of Resident Evil’s overall cast of memorable characters that hasn’t had that much time to shine on his own, it’s definitely Barry Burton. We know Chris is his good friend, and we know that he thinks the mansion in the original game is gigantic, and we know he thinks Jill is the Master of Unlocking. Oh, and we also know that he thinks a can of acid rounds by itself is a powerful weapon. Yeah, we all love Barry. So, it comes as no surprise that we’re quite excited about seeing him on the silver screen next year with the release of Resident Evil: Retribution.
Kevin Durand, who most recently played a role in Real Steel alongside Hugh Jackman, will be playing Barry in next year’s film. Below you can view a pair of new set pics (thanks to Resident Evil Xtreme) showcasing the man himself, in full costume, posing alongside Afterlife’s Luthor and Leon. I must commend Mr. Anderson’s choice to keep Barry’s costume really close to his original portrayal, but I’m sure there’s some people out there that’ll find something to complain about (as was the case with Leon). But I must bring up one thing: Where’s his trusty magnum?
