It’s been finally officially confirmed that the next Resident Evil movie will in fact be called Retribution. It’s also been confirmed that once again Paul W. Anderson will be sitting comfortably in the director’s chair, working from his own script, while his wife, Milla Jovovich will be reprising her role as Alice. Sienna Guillory has also been confirmed as returning to once again take on the role of Jill Valentine, albeit the Resident Evil 5 version. Now, onto to the most recent revelation.
It’s taken quite a while for it to become a reality but we can safely say that we’ll be seeing Barry Burton and Leon S. Kennedy on the silver screen on September 14, 2012 when Retribution hits theaters. No casting was announced for either character but we do know that Anderson and his crew will be staying pretty close to both characters’ video-game representations: Barry is described, appropriately, as being a STARS member while Leon is a former STARS member turned government agent.
Stay tuned for more Retribution news as it comes. But in the meantime, how do you feel about finally getting live-action movie versions of Leon and Barry? Sound off in the comments section below!
