Resident Evil 4 Remake Sells 8 Million Copies Worldwide

Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake has hit a major milestone, selling 8 million copies worldwide. The game, which is a remake of the original Resident Evil 4, was launched on March 23, 2023, and has quickly become one of Capcom’s most successful titles.

The remake initially sold 3 million copies in its first two days of release. By December 31, 2023, Resident Evil 4 Remake had sold 6.5 million copies. Since then, the game’s sales have continued to grow at a steady rate. With an average of 450,000 copies sold each month, this installment is currently outpacing Resident Evil 2 Remake, which has sold over 14 million copies since its release in 2019.

Resident Evil 4 follows Leon Scott Kennedy, a character from Resident Evil 2. Six years after the events in Raccoon City, Leon is on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the U.S. president’s daughter, from a mysterious cult in a remote Spanish village. The remake brings updated visuals, new side missions, and improvements to gameplay, enhancing the experience for both newcomers and longtime fans.

Given the game’s impressive performance, it’s clear that RE4 Remake is one of Capcom’s best-selling games.

Resident Evil 4 is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
