Hey, look at that. We get to buy it again!
My love for Resident Evil 4 is well documented, and now I have another chance to play it across two new platforms! Yeah, okay, maybe I’m not really that excited this time around, it will be the game’s ninth and tenth releases, counting PC twice). The newest re-release of Resident Evil 4 is now available for pre-order digitally on Xbox One and PS4, and presumably, the physical release is as well. Pre-ordering it on PS4 will net you two nice avatar images, of Leon and the Umbrella Corporation logo respectively, to celibrate RE‘s 20th anniversary. Now, this is more than likely just 2014’s
Now, this is more than likely just 2014’s Ultimate HD Edition from PC, ported to consoles. While the game running at 1080p will be a treat for rabid fans like me who don’t own a PC, the trailer (which can be seen on the PS4’s page for the game) alone does look significantly better than the previous Xbox 360/PS3 releases, but if you want a true HD experience I’d recommend just picking up the Steam version and waiting for the unbelievable looking Resident Evil 4 HD Project to be finished, which kicks the ass of every other version of the game . The one thing I’m hoping for with this version is a better achievement/trophy list, which I’ve mentioned many times. We’ll see. I’ll be writing a review as soon as I have my hands on Resident Evil 4 for Xbox One/PS4 when it releases on the 30th of this month.
