Resident Evil 0 HD Breaks 1 million units sold

Regardless of how you felt about Zero when it originally released on GameCube in 2002, you can’t argue that this remaster didn’t deserve the sales.

Resident Evil 0 HD, which we gave a glowing 10/10 review score to when it released earlier this year, has sold over 1.1 million units in just about six months. For comparison, its original release on GameCube only ever sold 1.25 million in its entire run. This is awesome news for anyone who’s hoping for more remasters of the classic RE games. Given the massive amount of work put into Zero HD, from its completely overhauled character models to the heavy polish to the prerendered backgrounds, it gives us hope that the same amount of effort could be put into the rumored remaster of Resident Evil Outbreak, not to mention the total remake of Resident Evil 2 due out sometime in the next two years. Only time will tell, but if we were supposed to “vote with our wallets”, we’ve made the message loud and clear, folks.
