The rights to the Dementium franchise, which first saw the light of day on the Nintendo DS in 2007, have returned to its original creators. This was announced by co-director of Renegade Kid Jools Watsham on Twitter earlier today.
Renegade Kid is mostly a handheld developer whose most notable titles include the Dementium franchise, 2D platformer Mutant Mudds, and a first-person shooter for the DS called Moon. They recently ran a Kickstarter for another horror game, Cult County, but it only raised $46,736 of its $580,000 goal and ended with a thank you to the 1,492 people that backed the project.
I am ecstatic to announce that Renegade Kid now has the rights to create Dementium sequels! EXCITE!!
