Rain seems like quite an interesting game, with an intriguing concept backed by an Ico vibe. Developed by PlayStation CAMP with the coordination of Acquire (the developer behind the Tenchu series), Rain’s story revolves around two youngins caught in a stormy night attempting to find out how they became invisible. You have a boy and a girl.
When traversing the world engulfed in constant rain, you will be visible. So the goal is to ultimately control the boy’s visibility by taking cover from the rain, all while avoiding monsters chasing you. When you find the girl, the game will remind players of Ico, due to the relationship that will develop between the two characters. The game is intended to last around four hours, and it already sounds like it could be a very emotional one. Yeah, I’m a softie!
Rain is set to hit the PlayStation Network on October 1 in North America for the price of $14.99. You can pre-order it now, which will get you an avatar pack, music montage, and a dynamic theme.
