Sony Japan Studios have announced that their new PSN-exclusive adventure game rain, in which the player guides an invisible boy in a mysterious downpour, is set to release on October 1st later this year. It has also been revealed that the game will retail for around $14.99 upon release.
According to the developers, those who preorder rain before September 30th will gain access to some additional pieces of in-game content, as well as a dynamic PSN theme, 5 avatars, a static theme and a musical montage.
Sony also published vol. 2 of their developer diaries for rain, where they talk a bit about the game’s very serene and artistic music style. Hear what they have to say about it in the video below, if you’re curious.
I myself am very curious of this upcoming title, as it seems to have a heavily artistic touch. I can’t help but wonder if it will have slight traces of horror elements, despite the seemingly serene nature of it, and the fact that it is labeled an adventure game. I guess we will have to wait for a little longer before we have our questions answered!
