If you haven’t heard about Quantum Error yet, you’re not alone. It was announced earlier this year as a PS4 and PS5 exclusive FPS sci-fi horror game with some truly chilling environments and mechanics. In many ways, it looks like a spiritual successor to Doom 3.
As development has gone on, TeamKill Media has shared a good deal about the title’s story and development through their social media platforms, fleshing out what to expect when the game releases.
Until just recently, the team was intending to make it a PlayStation exclusive, but after re-assessing their development and resources, they found that they would also be able to get the game done fairly easily for the Xbox Series and reach a much wider audience as a result.
You can check out the terrifying trailer the team shared at GamesCom last month which showcases the scares and gunplay in action here.
If you just want confirmation on the game heading to the Xbox Series, you can also watch the new teaser trailer below which confirms the Series X development, though it’s more of a mood piece than anything, albeit a pretty effective one. While the release date has not been fully confirmed yet, they are still aiming for a general “2021” window, and hopefully, we’ll get some further confirmation in the near future.
We’ll keep you updated as the team releases more info about Quantum Error and its release date, and hopefully if e everything works out, we’ll be able to get our hands on it by early next year.
