Playism partners with Vaka Inc. and Crunchyroll In Angels of Death game and anime bundle via STEAM. With an additional deep discount this week, the developers are trying to get everyone aboard the hype train. The individual game will be 50% off and the bundle will be 30% off for one week only. The Angels of Death psychological horror franchise has seen massive success as a game, manga series, and debuted as an anime this past year. This is the first time a Japanese game-based franchise has been bundled together with both a game and anime series via the STEAM platform. The special sale period started on December 2 at 10 am PST and will conclude on December 9 at 10 am PST.
Vaka explains the story’s premise very mysteriously, with more than a hint of the macabre.
“When Ray woke, she was in a concrete room with no memory. Appearing to be in the basement of a building, Ray ventured on, searching for an exit. But soon she crossed paths with Zack, a murderer whose entire face was bandaged and held a striking resemblance to the Grim Reaper. ‘Please – kill me.’ ‘Help me get outta here, and I’ll kill you.’ The two formed a peculiar bond through their strange “promise” and started to search for an exit to the sealed building together.”
The Angels of Death game consists of 4 episodes, each with a uniquely dark, yet entertaining story. The anime is comprised of 16 episodes based on the game but gives a new perspective to the entire grim tale.
