Remember Painkiller? I sorta do … developed by People Can Fly, Painkiller is a fast paced demon killing game in which the recently deceased Daniel Garner is not allowed into Heaven until he kills four high profile demons. Naturally, Daniel is equipped with a crap-ton of weapons in order to get the job done and join his equally deceased wife, in Heaven.
After their PC release of Painkiller expansion Painkiller: Recurring Evil, Nordic Games is set to remake the original Painkiller using Unreal Engine 3, with The Farm 51 as developer.
The remake is said to have 14 levels, 4 boss fights, single player and co-op gameplay, competitive multiplayer, and full Steamworks integration.
I’ve played a wee bit of the original Painkiller. I don’t remember much, but now’s the perfect time to pay attention, I guess. Painkiller: Hell & Damnation does not have a release date yet but we will let you know when it does.
