Capcom is definitely up to something with the Devil May Cry series. Rumors of a fifth entry in the long-running action series have swirled for years at this point, and with a current-gen port of the Devil May Cry HD Collection on the way in March, it seems Capcom is gearing up for a possible E3 announcement regarding the future of the franchise.
Thankfully, you don’t even have to buy the upcoming collection to get a taste of the demon-slaying action. Twitch Prime, a service available to all who have Amazon Prime, is offering the PC version of the original Devil May Cry for free starting on February 27. Now anybody subscribed to the service can see where the action series got its start. This news comes courtesy of a new trailer for the upcoming Devil May Cry HD Collection. Be warned though, someone in the marketing department thought they could get away with calling Devil May Cry 2 a “classic”. It’s not.
Side note: Did you know Devil May Cry started development as Resident Evil 4? Of course you did.
Devil May Cry HD Collection is coming to PS4, PC, and Xbox One March 13 2018. It includes the original PS2 Devil May Cry trilogy remastered and running at 60 FPS.
