One of the first things that came to mind once Konami announced that Castlevania: Harmony of Despair would be hitting PSN later this summer was: Will it come with all the DLC that Xbox 360 owners are currently able to enjoy? This was answered once we got a bit more details on the PSN port.
Harmony of Despair will be making its PSN debut with some added content; Yoko, Julius and Chapter 7 (the Pyramid stage from Portrait of Ruin) will be free additions to the main game once it hits. Not just that, but players will also be able to enjoy local co-op, which was missing from the game’s original release on XBLA. But what of the other DLC packs that came out and will this PSN port get anything exclusive? I contacted Konami about this and they claim that: “At this time, there are no plans to release new content, just waves of the same content that was previously released on XBLA.”
With two DLC characters and one DLC stage already available when the game launches on top of the initial 6 chapters and 5 characters, players will definitely be occupied until the rest of the remaining DLC makes its way to PSN, which may hit in monthly waves. Or you can opt to engage in survival grinding and be left waiting, with nothing left to do until the DLC packs start pouring in.
