Wolfenstein has been a franchise that, for the most part, focused on solid single player campaigns first and foremost, even during the Return to Castle Wolfenstein era. Luckily, publisher Bethesda would like to continue this tradition, as Wolfenstein: The New Order will not feature a multiplayer component.
Bethesda is one of the few publishers these days that will put out a AAA title and not feel the need to include a forced multiplayer. With games like Skyrim, The Evil Within, Dishonored, and now Wolfenstein: The New Order, they’re here to set the record straight that singleplayer focused experiences can still sell well.
