Whereas Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, due to its nature, received multiple DLC packs ranging from characters to maps and music packs, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will only end up with 2 pieces of DLC when it’s all said and done.
The US Playstation Store has already received the first DLC add-on titled ‘Reverie’, leaving next month’s ‘Resurrection’ as the final piece of DLC for the game. It should be interesting to see how ‘Resurrection’ will cap off the story presented in Lords of Shadow. There’s a lot of promise for one hell of a chapter there; and of course one hell of a battle with a notorious foe (which if you’re lucky enough to have ‘Reverie’ you’ll know who that foe is).
In an unfortunate scenario, Xbox owners of the game still haven’t been able to purchase the add-on from the marketplace; the same goes for PS3 and Xbox owners in Europe. While a fix is being worked on as we speak, it’s still not a good situation. Still, we’re being assured that ‘Resurrection’ is on track to release in its initially intended April slot. And, of course, that add-on will mark the end of Lords of Shadow’s story. Whether a sequel is in the works or not isn’t known thus far but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
