Well this is certainly a very interesting bit of news, it appears that Nintendo of America has gone ahead and reapplied for the Eternal Darkness trademark. The folks over on NeoGAF did some sleuthing and found Nintendo had done so through the Trademark Reporting and Monitoring System (TRAM).
One would hope that this means Nintendo is interested in backing the franchise once again and possibly even creating an Eternal Darkness 2. One also has to wonder what does this mean for Precursor Games and their spiritual sequel Shadow Of The Eternals? After all that game even uses locations and continues the story of Eternal Darkness.
Nothing could come of this too, but here’s to hoping.
