In the wake of Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2‘s seeming demise (not officially canceled but hard to imagine it surviving what its gone through), the next big VTM game fans have been looking forward to is VTM – Bloodhunt, a free battle royale game set in the World of Darkness universe. A new trailer showcasing gameplay dropped during today’s PlayStation Showcase stream, with new locations and a look at character customization.
First announced back in June, VTM – Bloodhunt sees players choosing their favorite Kindred clan and duking it out in the streets of Prague, with fully customizable characters and third-person combat. As your favorite clan you fight other Kindred during a citywide lockdown (thus alleviating the need for The Masquerade), all the while being hunted down by a mysterious secret society called The Entity.
The game recently launched in early access on Steam, to mixed reviews (with one of the main complaints being bugs, although working that out is sorta the point of early access). We’ll give it a try soon and let you know our thoughts on it. For everyone else, a beta for VTM – Bloodhunt will be available on console soon, with sign-up available on the game’s official site.
