Choice plays a huge role in the proceedings of Until Dawn. Each player will have their own version of the game’s story, with differences that could be small or quite large. I experienced this during my playthrough of the game’s first four episodes and it succeeded in making me want to replay things over.
I actually thought real hard about how I wanted the characters to respond to situations, whether it be action-oriented ones or simply dialogue between others. I haven’t had that feeling since playing through the first two seasons of Telltale’s The Walking Dead.
You can check out Until Dawn’s new trailer below, which sheds the spotlight on its Butterfly Effect system. The game launches exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on August 25th.
