Another 75 games have been Greenlit for a release on Steam and among them I managed to dig up a variety of interesting horror titles. The offer is rather diverse, so take a peek and see if there’s anything on offer that strikes your fancy.
In the puzzle genre, we have Haunted Investigations, in which you must explore haunted buildings and find out what happened inside of them while dealing with all kinds of ghostly apparitions. If instead you are looking for more of artistic game, then Silence of the Sleep has you puzzle around in an abstract world with digitally drawn visuals. For more information on Silence of the Sleep, you can check out our preview.
Dark Ocean has you explore a large cruise ship that has become overrun with zombies that you must defend yourself against. Judging by the trailer and images, it looks a bit like Resident Evil with faster zombies and as the description of the game proudly proclaims: “It’s FREE survival horror videogame.” If a boat isn’t good enough for you, then the slightly silly Zombies on a Plane might impress you, as it has you control an airplane that has become overrun with the living dead. Rather than fighting them with pistols or melee weapons, you must use the plane to maneuver in ways that make the zombies fall while protecting vital systems from taking damage.
Dead Years also succeeded in making it through, and finally, there is Derayenic, a cooperative horror shooter in which you fight robots that look eerily like disfigured mannequins.
