TALK ABOUT GROOVY!
So it’s been… a really long time since the last Evil Dead game (not counting the mobile thing released for the remake), and even then they were only ever okay at best. From clunky Resident Evil rip-offs to fun but uninspired hack and slashes, the best part was only ever the fact that Bruce Campbell almost always jumped back in to reprise his iconic character. Well, looks like that tradition continues as Bloody Disgusting has revealed that (despite “retiring” playing Ash after the cancellation of Ash vs Evil Dead) Bruce will be back in an upcoming video game!
For an interview with BD, Meagan Navarro happened to ask about whether Bruce would consider still doing Ash’s voice for video games as he always has and amazingly the king dropped a bomb:
“Oh no no, that’s different,” Bruce replied, when Meagan asked about potential video games and if they apply to his vow to stay retired. “I have previous obligations I have to fulfill. They are doing a video game. A whole immersive kind of dealio. I’ll be Ash for that, because I wouldn’t want someone else’s voice hamming it up.”
Oh. Oh the groove. This is what I need. Also, “immersive kind of dealio”? Could be we talkin’ VR? I’d be more than down for that, break out the demons and one-liners! We’ll keep you updated as more hot and heavy sugar gets dealt out, baby.
