DmC is a game many Devil May Cry fans have found themselves looking down upon. It’s in the hands of very, very capable developers (Ninja Theory), but it’s not exactly giving fans a representation of the iconic Dante that is exactly…”iconic.” No, DmC, set to be a look at said demon hunter’s origin, aims to give fans, and newcomers alike, a Dante that is both “new” as well as familiar.
Okay, I understand the one major complaint people have with this “new” Dante, which is, of course, his punk-rock aesthetics and his non-white head of hair. But come on, are we really going to cry foul at Capcom for these aesthetic changes? This is clearly an early years’ tale so are we seriously expecting the current (story-wise) Dante to have been exactly the same, in both looks and character, in his past?
Well, you can’t win them all, but hey, here’s a brand new trailer for DmC! It comes straight from TGS and it’s full of gameplay elements that instantly scream “Devil May Cry.” We also get to see a new area in the game in the form of a surreal carnival, littered with many demonic monstrosities and a peek at what seems to be an intense boss fight.
