New details emerge on Silent Hill Revelation’s progress

Silent Hill Revelation, the second live action Silent Hill film, seems to be on its way to being a real thing that the public can look at. Writer/director Michael J. Bassett is nearing the end of his duties on the film. He announces that the VFX are in the ending stages and that he will soon pass along the final film to those in charge.

He goes on to mention that the score for the film is coming along nicely. Silent Hill composer, Akira Yamaoka as well as Jeff Dana are working on new tracks for the film that incorporate ideas and themes from Akira’s past work. I personally can’t wait for a new Yamaoka album. If it’s anything like the Silent Hill 3 OST and Hell Frozen Rain, I will explode into sound.

No word on a release date, but Bassett states that he aims to finish work on a possible teaser trailer for the film that was cut short due to becoming fixated on playing Skyrim. Hopefully he finishes that up and releases it so we can finally look at something new.

And for those wondering, the picture above is not from the actual film; I’m just an asshole.
