It looks like a new Bloodrayne game is going to be announced a week from now, and it looks as though it’ll be developed by Arc System Works. The developer most known for fighting games like Guilty Gear, Blaz Blue, and Persona 4: Arena. Arc put up a countdown timer for the project over on their website seemingly out of nowhere. The title “BRCS” sprawled across the top, a picture of Rayne herself, and the following quote:
“She who fights monsters might take care lest she become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”
There’s also the date 4/23/2014 on the page as well which suggests that the game will be revealed on said date, since the countdown timer should be up by then as well.
Arc System Works has a long history of creating ridiculously gorgeous and polished 2D fighting games. So the IP is in more than capable hands, in fact I’d say this is the best studio that’s ever gotten ahold of the franchise.
