In their quest to make the new PC version of Resident Evil 4 the best it can be, Capcom has released a beta patch to address some issues with the recently-released re-release.
The Beta Patch v. 1.0.5 fixes and tweaks
- Specular highlight and bump mapping effect that was missing on the Xbox 360 version
- Implemented new stereo positional audio for in-game sound effects
- Your right hand comes off?
- Fixed handgun aim jumping to the right for Modern K&M setting
- Improved flares and yellow glow for torches, lamps, etc.
- Fixed the spotlight passing through the wall during the jet-ski sequence
- Disabled warm color filter after the “church puzzle.”
- Fixed mouse sensitivity during Del Lago charge
- Fixed QTE for breaking enemies’ grip while using mouse.
The beta patch also will add vibration to machine guns in the Separate Ways, Another Order, Assignment Ada and Mercenaries game modes.
If you’re unfamiliar with how to access the beta, head on over to the forum page and follow the instructions. Once this beta patch is properly tested and found not to break other elements of the game, the patch will be made available to the public.
