New AMY video and images

AMY is an upcoming survival horror title scheduled to hit the PSN and XBLA this September. The game aims to “bridge the gap between innovative indie PSN games and very ambitious Blu-ray titles.” If you take just one look at the game then you’ll see that very notion: it looks like a full-blown retail release. Better yet, it’s set to offer a true survival horror experience from beginning to end.

I went eyes-on with the game at E3 and I can safely assure you all that Lexis Numerique will be delivering on that promise. We already got a basic summary of the story before but now we have a more detailed account of it as posted by Lexis Numerique’s own Djamil Kemal on the official Playstation blog:

The story begins on a rainy December day in 2034. Global warming is in full swing, spreading diseases and natural disasters all around the world. You play as Lana, a character who regains consciousness following a comet impact in the small town of Silver City. Upon awakening, you discover that Silver City has descended into chaos. Violence, fury, rage, wreckage and death: the world you knew has been torn to Hell.

Struck by a mysterious virus, most of the townspeople have transformed into gruesome creatures and now prowl the streets as a wild horde. You’re wounded and you know you must escape, but you’re infected and the viral process has already begun: Hell is now pumping through your veins. There are only two ways to survive the infection. One is by locating special medical equipment found on the corpses of soldiers who have invaded Silver City. The other lies with Amy.

In regards to gameplay, a video will be released soon showing off the game’s mechanics and sense of “survival stealth.” But below you can find a video showing off the game’s overall atmosphere and design, both on the character of Lana and her surroundings. We also get treated to quite a nice track from the game’s score.

You can check out said video below as well as some new images from the game.
