The release of VectorCell’s upcoming survival horror title AMY is approaching us. We have no exact date yet, but we’re told to expect it sometime this fall– a launch window we’re already in. The game tells a post-apocalyptic tale about the effects a meteor crash had on a small town. Long story short: a wide-spread infection. Even the game’s protagonist, Lana, is infected. Which is where this new trailer comes in.
This new video showcases Lana’s infection process to great detail. Obviously, you don’t want her being completely overtaken by this infection, because that would result in death, especially if you don’t have AMY (who can heal you and keep said infection at bay by holding your hand) near you. There’s actually one good thing about this, though. Being infected not only means you’re dying, but it also means you’re free (for a while) to move through the game’s enemies without being detected. It’s a neat little two-sided mechanic that should prove to be quite tense in practice. Let’s just hope we get to check it out for ourselves really, really soon.
