Update: Milan says that Always on My Mind did not make it into the Shattered Memories OST, and the version of Alex Theme in the Homecoming OST will be the remix version found in the Sound Box. Sort of disappointing that some people will miss out on Always on My Mind; it’s a great track.
This Tuesday marks the release of a handful of Silent Hill soundtracks: Silent Hill Book of Memories, Silent Hill Origins, Silent Hill Homecoming, and Silent Hill Shattered Memories. Book of Memories’ OST will be releasing way ahead of the game’s launch (which we still don’t know when that will be), and the others are being released digitally for the first time in North America. Milan Records will be handling the release of all four soundtracks.
Milan sent over the three re-released soundtracks and I happened to notice that “Alex Theme” is not present in the Homecoming OST. Instead–and this being new to me as well–is a remix of that very song titled “Alex Theme (Machine Head Mix). The Shattered Memories OST I was sent is also missing “Always on my Mind”, but that song remains listed on the product’s Amazon page. Perhaps both of my noticing are just mistakes; I’ll follow up and confirm.
I’m really looking forward to Book of Memories’ OST. Those samples online were pretty good and remind me a lot of the older games.
