Wrong Organ and Critical Reflex’s smash hit, Mouthwashing, is about to reach an even wider audience as it heads to consoles.
In a press release published on the 19th of February, publisher Critical Reflex announced the game had surpassed a truly monumental 500 thousand sales – unprecedented for most indie horror titles – alongside a piece of very exciting news for Mouthwashing fans.
The game is officially coming to Playstation 5, Xbox Series Consoles and Nintendo Switch “later this year”. Better yet, the game is getting a physical release on PS5 and Switch via the excellent Fangamer, which you can preview and enable notifications for over on Fangamer’s website.
Mouthwashing is truly fantastic, with Rely giving it a “great” 8.5/10 in our review and the game meeting similarly glowing praise from outlets and fans across the gaming sphere. Set on a stranded space freighter, The Tulpar, the game explores the horrors which lead to the ship’s desolation and the survival situation endangering its remaining crew, delving into impactful psychological themes and subject matter.
If you don’t want to wait to dive into Mouthwashing‘s myriad secrets, the game is available on Steam now for $11.69, well worth the three hour (or so) experience the game provides. For console players, however, The Tulpar will open its airlocks sometime in 2025.
